Spread the love

Dear Finn,

I’ve been meaning to write you for the past 5 months but something always got in my way of sitting down to do so. That is a mistake  – time passes so quickly especially as one grows older.

Your googly-eyed gaze ( having eyes that are very open or staring because of amazement, admiration, etc.) is no doubt due to the environment of love you have lived in since coming home to Wisconsin from Florida. Welcome to an amazingly inclusive and welcoming family —even though you briefly were not a Brewers fan.

I thought of using Google Translate to convert this message into things you presently would understand —warmth, a full stomach, wetness, tender touches, snuggles. Presently that conversion is still under development. Here is the status of that research: Google Translate for Animals.

Here is a phrase you are going to hear a lot since you already are hearing its heartfelt message in all your daily interactions.

  • Arabic: Ana uhibbuka
  • Danish: Jeg elsker dig
  • Dutch: Ik hou van jou
  • Finnish: Mina rakastan sinua
