Throughout my four decades of teaching I have tried to build bridges across the Kindergarten to Higher Education divide, among different global communities and between academic and corporate cultures. Shortly I’ll be participating for a second time in a workshop led by The United Kingdom’s Jane Hart. The foundation of this workshop, “Promoting Continuous Learning in the Workplace, is her updated book Modern Workplace Learning. How refreshing it is to interact with the author (whom I have admired and corresponded with for almost 10 years) and to develop learning relationships with individuals across the world. Based on things I’ve learned and reflected since my last workshop with Jane, I have “connected” with a workshop participant on LinkedIn, incorporated some of the exchanged ideas into my interactions with my student research team, and learned continuously!
