I’m sorely tempted to purchase an iPhone despite being well aware that a newer version is soon to be released — and a newer one and a newer one and a competing device and… So it goes with technological gadgets.
This latest temptation was triggered by a recent blog by Jane Hart announcing a wealth of educational apps for iPhones. Curse you, Feedblitz, for whetting my appetite. You lead me down the path of temptation to take another bite of the Apple.
There are so many applications to try—and to distract. I need to develop better self-control. I’m even tempted to (gasp) start using Powerpoint.
‘Tis the season. Maybe I should ask Santa for one? Or ask Santa Newf (alas, she has other things on her mind). Or perhaps I should write a grant for one or suggest to the Provost that this tool would be the Rosetta stone for me to master the international language of technology that will further my global learning!
Time to wake up, David, and resume grading.
